There are many good things to say about Monarda punctata. The leaves are deliciously aromatic, and the plant itself is drought tolerant and deer resistant. But it’s the inflorescence that steal the show! Monarda punctata has cream-yellow flowers spotted with burgundy, paired with the softest of pink-fading-to-green bracts. It has an impressive vase life to boot. Plant in a sunny spot with good drainage, and you and your garden pollinators will be most pleased!
